2009 morel season

OK guy's make sure you take some ATG (as they grow) pics of your morels and post them on here. I found my first batch today but I was working and didn't have my camera. I guess I could have took some ATF (as they fry) pics ;) Hopefully I will find some this week while spring gobbler hunting.

Good luck!

I checked a few spots while shedding today but found no sign of the elusive morel...yet. First found some on May 15 last year so i may have a couple weeks to wait

It's still a bit early here too but I will post atg pics as I find them. I've seen some "beefsteaks" already but I don't pick them as I've read they can cause a bad reaction for some. Blacks should be right behind then the big whites. Here's some pics from last year.

Nice pics. I checked my honey hole three times here lately and only found a tiny morel and what I beleive are three or four false morels. I picked 86 morels out of that spot last year.
